1. The CFU:GM yields were higher when aphereses were performed after intensive chemotherapy during early remission. 2. Protocol A showed a high number of MNC but an elevated contamination of red blood cells and granulocyte cells. 3. Protocol B showed more elevated MNC percentage with very low hematocrit and granulocyte contamination. 4. Both protocols A and B are completely automatic; performed in a closed sterile system; highly reproducible, and without any toxic effects.
