1-Methyl-1H-2-cyanomethyl-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine was synthesized and the reactivity of its CN and --CH2--groups was investigated. 5 H-Dipyrido[1,2-a: 3',2'd]imidazole derivatives were also prepared. Some of the obtained compounds were screened for their tuberculostatic activity.
