The authors discuss the results of studying the clinical picture, immunological values, and the leukocytic intoxication index in 25 patients with ++pyo-destructive and septic processes in the complex management of which plasmapheresis was included. With plasmapheresis intoxication was relieved 1.5-2 times more rapidly in most patients, the leukocyte intoxication index reduced, and the immune shifts were modulated.
