Twenty patients with cerebral cysticercosis were studied to find out if any correlation existed between this disease and working in contact with organic solvents. Half of the sample had been exposed to solvents and all had been exposed to Taenia solium through consumption of pork or exposure to faeces. Complex evaluations and examinations were carried and it was concluded that organic solvents are an important trigger factor of neurocysticercosis.
