In June 1976 new recommendations for calculating wages were issued by the kolkhoz council of the Ukraine. In them in contrast to previous regulations more emphasis is placed on relating wages to labour productivity and quality of work. The wages of farm managers and other management staff should be more closely linked to the index figures of farm results, e.g. the intensity of land utilization or the gross production per unit of area.
