Authors refer the control and therapy of patients with diabetic retinopathy followed on the Brno Eye Clinic. The laser therapy was on the first place and was successfully used in 160 patients. Conservative therapy using some drugs is considered as an auxiliary one. Vitrectomies were not performed for the lack of the needed instrumental equipment.
