This Regulation sets forth the rate of taxes levied on aliens residing in the Special Region of the Capital City of Jakarta, Indonesia. Under it the 1st 2 children of a family are taxed Rp30,000.00 each, and subsequent children are taxed Rp60,000.00 each. An accompanying Elucidation on the Regulation explains that the imposition of a higher tax on 3rd and subsequent children is "aimed at supporting the national program of family planning."
