Records of A. albopictus, A. aegypti and A. triseriatus in US Air Force installations in southern and south-eastern USA are reported, based on oviposition trap collections conducted in 1988. Several new county records for A. albopictus are given. The first A. albopictus-positive ovipaddle was collected in Texas on 24 May and the last in Texas on 27 December. The first A. aegypti-positive paddle was collected in Louisiana on 2 May, and the last in Texas on 29 November. Data suggested that if competition or interference was occurring between these 2 species, it was probably not occurring at the level of oviposition site selection (at least in Bexar County, Texas).
