A study of the amino-acids in urine from dogs with cystine urolithiasis

Urine samples from 13 dogs with cystine urolithiasis were analysed for 17 amino-acids and results compared with a control series of 13 dogs with no history of urinary tract disease. The dogs with cystine stones had a mean urine cystine concentration of 180 mg/litre while the control animals had a mean level of 40 mg/litre.
