Data were presented on the clinical picture and diagnosis of acute drug-induced hepatitis of the mixed type. The case history of a 58-yr-old female patient was presented. Acute drug-induced hepatitis of the mixed type are characterized by symptoms of cholestasis and cytolysis. They can be caused by various drugs; hormonal, anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, sulfanilamides, diuretics, H2-histamine blockers and may develop after drug administration of varying duration. Differential diagnosis from acute viral hepatitis, hepatopancreatoduodenal tumor or cholelithiasis is recommended.
