Of the 818 dogs examined at 15 weeks of age 87% showed posterior suture lines, with or without associated opacities; at one year of age 3% of the dogs showed suture lines only. Hyaloid remnants were seen in 20% of animals at 15 weeks of age, and in 3% at one year of age.
