Analysis of the incidence of suicide in Nógrád County (1970-80)

The author analyses the committed suicides in 10 years period (1970-80) in county Nograd. The comparison is according to the distribution of local, year, age, sex, method and other demographic data (583 cases). The psychiatric diagnostic criteria are discussed too. The author emphasizes the increase of the rural rate in comparison to the urban one. The most endangered population seemed the 40-49 age-group and the people over 60 years is this material. He analyses the attempted suicides (522 cases) of 3 districts of the county in same period with same method.
