DNA nuclear content in borderline ovarian tumors

Eleven serous borderline ovarian tumors with similar histological and cytological features were examined. In three cases the majority of cells were diploid. In four cases the histograms of DNA absorption showed a proliferative pattern, while in other four cases the distribution of DNA values was broader, many cells showing aneuploidy. These data are discussed in relation with prognosis and therapeutical attitude.
