The prevalence of Toxoplasma antibodies among the patients with symptoms of toxoplasmosis at the hospital of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Cukurova

The antibodies of Toxoplasma gondii were screened with Indirect Haemagglutination (IHA) method during 1983-1987 by different departments of faculty of medicine. University of Cukurova with the symptoms of toxoplasmosis. Of overall 4200 sera, 1327 belonged to babies, and 2873 to adults which were contained of 663 males and 2210 females. The rate of T.gondii antibodies found was 45.74% in babies, 39.67% in males and 53.53% in females all above 1/64 and high titers. Overall 48.88% (2053/4200) sera were positive for T.gondii antibodies.
