The Omega IUD was used as a prosthesis in the uterine cavity for prevention of uterine adhesions in 22 women undergoing reconstructive operations of the uterus (In 9 cases of bicornuate uterus. Strassmann's operation was used and in 13 cases of uterine body myomata, myomectomy was performed). The IUDs remained in the uterine cavity for 3-4 months and were inserted and removed easily. The Omega IUD was very useful in these operations and no complications were observed in connection with their use. (author's modified)
