The analysis of individual features of the groups utilization, organization, contents and result of the medical care of a registration of the actual state of the outpatient-care capacity for 28335 patients in 1982 for the purpose of characterizing the outpatient primary medical care and its types describes it as a whole as mainly acute care with short- and medium-termed time and short-time care-intervals and care of syndroms. It is mainly initiated by the patient and therapeutically oriented. The cooperation of the care-institutions is only poorly developed. Types of dispensary care are characterized by the help of the same features as long-term- or permanent care and supervision of patients with chronic or without complaints. This type of care is mainly initiated by medical care-institutions, uses more disgnostic, therapeutic, caring and cooperative measures and shows more distinct preventive and metaphylactic aspects. A differentiated analysis renders it possible, to draw conclusions for further planning of the dispensary care with regard to the respective territory.
