Lyme disease in Missouri

The case of a 48-year-old woman from Springfield, Missouri, USA, with Lyme borreliosis (caused by Borrelia burgdorferi) is reported. She presented with headache, mylgia and erythema migrans on her left forearm, which was of aproximately 6 weeks duration. This is the first case to be described from Missouri.
