One of the cases reported was of a 45-yr-old man from Pakistan who developed various symptoms, including cough and fever, shortly after his arrival in UK in 1964. Laparotomy was performed and revealed disseminated Histoplasma capsulatum infection with bilateral adrenal involvement. Amphotericin B was given (978 mg over 5 weeks).
