Intraoperative angiography for cerebral arteriovenous malformations

Intraoperative angiography in cases of arteriovenous malformations of the brain allows immediate control of the extent of removal of the malformation. If angiography shows that a part of the malformation remains, it can be removed during the same procedure, avoiding the necessity of reoperation. In our opinion, intraoperative angiography is necessary in all cases of arteriovenous malformations. A case in a 30-year-old man is presented.
