This Resolution authorizes the Guatemala National Institute of Statistics to determine the time and period of two censuses. It also creates a National Commission for the Tenth National Population Census and Fifth Housing Census to assist the National Institute for Statistics in performing the censuses. The National Commission shall organize in each department and municipality commissions to work on the development of a census program. All persons, both Guatemala citizens and foreigners, who are resident in the country are required to cooperate with the National Institute and National Commission in preparing for the censuses. Further provisions of the Resolution set forth rules on the assignment of government personnel to work on the censuses and the financing of the censuses, among other things.
