Open trial of mesoglycan in the treatment of cerebrovascular ischemic disease

We evaluated 30 subjects affected by ischemic cerebrovascular disease (TIAs and strokes) using neurological and neuropsychological rating scales during 3-month treatment with mesoglycan (100 mg/day per os). Statistical analysis of data demonstrated a significant decrease of the scores, showing an improvement of the clinical picture. No side effects or laboratory abnormalities were found in our patients.
