Hemoglobin polymer was studied during its circulation in the blood of rabbits after administration in a dose of 1 g/kg. There was interaction between the substance administered and blood plasma, that was manifested in the increased molecular mass of the circulating polymer and in changed isoelectric properties. A long circulating (24 h) hemoglobin polymer fraction has been isolated. It is suggested that the hemoglobin polymer influences the time of its circulation in the blood due to its capacity for interaction with plasma proteins.
