HLA-A and HLA-B antigens in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus with renal involvement

In 35 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus with nephropathy HAL-A and HLA-B antigens were determined. The evaluation of a possible connection between lupus nephropathy and class I histocompatibility antigens was made by chi-square (X2). A higher incidence, of HLA-A11, Aw 26, B8 e B13 was observed, but the association was not significant.
