Body scintigraphy was performed in 28 patients with lung cancer of various cell types. This was preceded by investigation of pulmonary blood flow which proved to be impaired in 88 per cent of the patients. Anterior view investigation of pulmonary blood flow was conducted simultaneously with estimation of the stroke volume. Three stages in the study, i.e. bone scintigraphy, blood flow investigation and stroke volume estimation played the decisive role in stating contraindications to radical surgical intervention and/or chemotherapy with cardiotoxic drugs.
