Uptake, distribution and elimination of Pb in various mouse organs/tissues have been studied at sub-toxic level using radio-tracer technique. The elimination data for various organs, except heart is fitted to a double exponential function using a computer programme. The biological half-lives along with the percentage elimination of lead by different decay modes in various organs/tissues are being reported. It is evident from this study thwat the clearance of lead is limited for all the organs and once the lead is stored in bone it becomes almost unavailable for elimination. The results of this analysis have been compared with that of other authors.
