A plaque of multiple sclerosis in an acute phase simulating a brain tumor on computed tomography is reported. The lesion was surgically removed and the diagnosis was performed at histological examination. It is appropriate to consider this possibility in the differential diagnosis of intracranial space-occupying lesions.
