Three patients with postoperatively diagnosed iatrogenic bile duct injury were treated with endoscopically inserted nasobiliary tube. The patients' general condition thereafter improved and the bile duct lesion closed. Endoscopic cholangiopancreatography and, if possible, concomitant insertion of a nasobiliary tube is recommended as an initial procedure in cases of postoperatively suspected bile-duct injury.
