Stress is laid on the importance of morphological studies in the differential diagnosis of disseminated pulmonary processes and the difficulties encountered by the specialist in evaluating the specificity of the different morphologic aspects, which in general closely resemble one another, and of the stage of the disease. Morphological studies must be completed by other laboratory and clinical data, keeping an account of occupational factors. The work is illustrated with original electron-optical images.
