Pattern of hoarding in rats before, during and post-gestation period

To observe hoarding beaviour (HB) before, during and following gestation in adult male albino rats, cyclical variations in HB synchronizing with normal estrus cycles, and the influence of ovarian hormones on HB in ovariectomized rats were studied. Hoarding scores showed a definite increase during gestation and a decrease in post-gestation period. No significant change was noted in the animals in which the tubal ligation was done.
