Cystic calculi in cats

A struvite calculus was surgically removed from the bladder of a 3-year-old female cat which had shown haematuria for six weeks. The calculus had sharp facets which had cut the bladder wall. The calculus was removed by exteriorising the bladder through a midline prepubic incision.
