Our comparison of histochemical and biochemical determination of enteropeptidase activity in patients with the coeliac disease has demonstrated a decrease in enteropeptidase activities for all the patients in both methods. Patients with chronic pancreatitis and prominent exocrine insufficiency were found to have higher mean values of enteropeptidase activities against the control group. A statistically significant different was however seen only when using the histochemical method, both direct and indirect.
