The broad spectrum antimycotic Nizoral tablet has been examined in 136 oral candidiasis cases. The majority of patients have used prosthesis for a longer period. According to the observations of the author, Nizoral is an effective fungicide with a systemic effect and may be applied successfully also in dentristry and oral surgery. The question of recurrence and the responsibility in prescribing the drug for long-term preventive treatment have been pointed out.
