We have developed a method for televising the retinoscopic reflex and reflex movements in various refractive states. A rubber model eye with a painted retina serves as the fundus. Different lenses placed in front of the eye simulate a variety of refractive states. Light from a slide projector is directed into the eye with a beam splitter. A video camera system placed directly behind the beam splitter captures the reflex and presents it on a video monitor.
