Clinical evaluation of Salbupart in the inhibition of uterine contractions in abortion and premature labor in comparison to Partusisten

Two groups of pregnant women, with 155 cases in each group, are presented. They were treated for imminent abortion or premature labour. In group I Partusisten Boehringer Ingelheim was used, group II received Salbupart Polfa. After Patusisten 83.88% of positive results were obtained, and after Salbupart the effect was favourable in 81.30% of cases. The best results were obtained in the third trimester of pregnancy and the worst ones in the first trimester. Salbupart may be used in place of Partusisten which is not so easily available.
