In two groups of patients with acute virus hepatitis B and with virus hepatitis HBsAg(.sbd.) the effect was studied of isoprinosine treatment during eight days on the total lymphocyte count, on T-active and total T-lymphocyte counts and on lymphocyte B count, levels of immunoglobulins IgG, IgA, IgM and immune complexes. During treatment with isoprinosine an increase was observed in the counts of T-active lymphocytes, and total lymphocyte T and B counts in both groups. Isoprinosine had no effect on the levels of immunoglobulins and immune complexes.
