Clinico-epidemiologic examination of 1003 cases of reactive psychoses conducted on the basis of materials accumulated in the course of general psychiatric practice in two regions of Siberia and the Far over 20 years made it possible to obtain new data on the prevalence, age and sex-related structure as well as pathomorphosis of the disease. The main psychotraumatic factors inducing reactive psychoses in general psychiatric practice are systematized.
