Iatrogenic desquamation of lining epithelium in choledochal cyst diagnosed by ERCP

This report describes the iatrogenic desquamation of the lining epithelium in a 56-day-old female infant diagnosed as choledochal cyst with anomalous arrangement of the pancreaticobiliary ductal system (AAPABIDS) by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) using pediatric duodenofiberscope (PJF). So far as desquamation of the lining epithelium of choledochal cyst is concerned, the iatrogenic factor is one of the most important factors. This seems to be the youngest case in which ERCP was successfully performed and clearly demonstrates AASPABIDS in choledochal cyst.
