The present study describes the application of a variant of enzyme immunoassay to the quantification of fibronectin in different biological fluids: plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, CSF, and amniotic fluid. The most favorable application of this technique is for the determination of fibronectin in those biological fluids in which it is present in low concentrations, such as in the case of CSF. The values of fibronectin obtained in the biological fluids studied are comparable to those recorded previously with other immunochemical methods.
