Complications during and after gynecologic laparoscopy

The complications occurring during and after gynaecological laparoscopy performed for diagnostic purposes in 1521 patients aged 6 to 49 years were collected and analysed. In 3 cases damage to the internal organs ensued. Complications connected with pneumoperitoneum production were noted in 65 cases (0.04%), and complications related to wound healing in 5 cases. Damage to the internal organs were not followed by any unfavourable consequences, and the remaining complications were also not dangerous.
