the content of cholesterol and triglycerides in high-density lipoproteins, the content of cholesterol in low-density lipoproteins and in very-low-density lipoproteins as well as abnormal lipoproteins have been studied in patients with thermal injury during all periods of the disease. It was found that blood serum cholesterol content did not undergo considerable changes, while hyperlipidemia developed due to triglycerides. A decrease in the cholesterol content in high-density lipoproteins was accompanied by a considerable increase in triglyceride content. The content of cholesterol in low- density and very-low-density lipoproteins considerably exceeded the normal values during the disease. Abnormal lipoproteins were found in all patients.
