A 38-year-old woman was admitted to hospital at Terragona, Spain, with diffuse pelvic pain of 3-months duration. Hysterectomy revealed a pear-shaped uterus with "myomatous" nodulations on its surface, which contained granulation tissue surrounding several Enterobius vermicularis ova. No multi-nucleate giant cells were present.
