The comparative examinations of parasitological infection were carried out in two children's community: at the home for mentally handicapped patients and in the normal kindergarten. Investigations were made by means of a standard coprological methods and by means of NIH method. The extensiveness of the infection was 25% in the mentally sick children. It is found: Lambia intestinalis (5%), Hymenolepis nana (5%), Taeniarhynchus saginatus (2.5%), Enterobius vermicularis (7.5%) and Trichocephalus trichiurus (10%). Among the children from the kindergarten the extensiveness of infection was 24.8% with following parasites: L. intestinalis (6,2%), E. vermicularis (18.6%) and T. trichiurus (0.7%). The presence of 1.7% eggs of parasites was revealed in the closet environment of patients and 3.4% in the kindergarten. There were not found differences in the frequency of invasion in those two communities. It was confirmed that the infection of intestinal parasites depends mainly on hygenic conditions.
