A direct lymphography of the medial superficial collecting vessels of the lower limbs was performed to examine 15 patients with chronic post-traumatic muscular edemas of subcutaneous fat due to muscular edemas of subcutaneous fat due to muscular atrophy of the lower limbs. Edemas persist when the weight-bearing capacity of the limb is lost, or in cases of post-traumatic bone defects and muscular atrophy. The lymphographic picture demonstrated compensatory reorganization of the damaged vascular bed and pathology of lymph vessels.
