Rodilemid action in peripheral facial paralyses was investigated in two patients groups. The first group started Rodilemid treatment from the first 11 days since the date of paralysis onset. In the second group, (viewed as control group) Rodilemid treatment started after more than 14 days since onset. The clinical results proved a 100% full effectiveness for standard group and a 59% full effectiveness for control group. Regarding the electrophysiological response, it is of 69% effectiveness for standard group and of 33% effectiveness for control group. all essential peripheral facial paralyses starting Rodilemid treatment in 1-11 days period since onset do respond to Rodilemid treatment without any exception: 85% with full recovery, 15% stil having deficits. Out of the cases starting Rodilemid treatment after more than 14 days since onset, having been previously treated by traditional means and being resultless of with minimal improvement, it was in 24% of cases that improvement was obtained: 64% alleviated with moderate remanent deficits, 12% did not respond to treatment.
