Two groups of patients suffering from duodenal ulcer have been treated with ranitidine: one with two 150 mg doses daily, the other with a single 300 mg administration at bed time. No differences between the two groups were found regarding the recovery time; therefore ranitidine administration at bed time is a valid strategy in duodenal ulcer therapy and is advisable because it simplifies the therapy and improves patient compliance.
