1. The pattern of absorption of 14C oleic acid and 14C triolein has been studied in rats with thoracic duct fistulae, some of whom also had biliary fistulae. 2. In control animals the free acid was absorbed as well as the triglyceride but slightly less appeared in the lymph. This recovery of absorbed "C oleic acid in the lymph was significantly increased by dispersal in taurocholate. 3.
