Eight indole alkaloids were isolated from the crude weak alkaloid of the stems and leaves of Alstonia yunnanensis Diels. Seven of them are known compounds. The new alkaloid, 7, was suggested as 3-oxo-11-methoxytabersonine on the basis of spectral evidence.
