Document Number: 271880
The report presents a systematic account of the complex problems surrounding environmental protection in the developing countries, in order that the causes and consequences of environmental stress and destruction (desertification, erosion, water pollution and devastation of the natural foundations of life) can be clearly worked out. An account is presented of the systematic relations between population growth and ecological carrying capacity of the different regions and, using the example of the re-use of sewage and waste, technical solutions (divided according to the urban and rural sectors) are described.
