The study concerns 3053 cases of esocrine pancreas carcinoma observed between 1976 and 1981 in Piemonte, Italy. The authors discuss about the principal risk factors associated with that disease (age, sex, geographical distribution), the treatment and the methodological problems in an epidemiologic study concerning pancreatic carcinoma.
