EASYPOP v1.7 is a computer program for population genetics simulations. The program allows the creation of an individual-based model that simulates neutral loci datasets under a very broad range of conditions. The program can simulate haploid, diploid, or haplodiploid organisms, and various migration models can be implemented. Most parameters are limited only by the computer's memory. The input consists only of the parameters of the simulation decided upon by the user. The outputs are multilocus genotypes after a given number of generations. EASYPOP can handle very large simulations using a standard personal computer. The program is available free of charge in Mac PPC and Windows 95/98/NT4 versions from < http://www.unil.ch/izea/softwares/easypop.html >.
